Wireless network refers to any type of computer network that is wireless, and is commonly associated with a telecommunications network whose interconnections between nodes is implemented without the use of wires. Wireless telecommunications networks are generally implemented with some type of remote information transmission system that uses electromagnetic waves, such as radio waves, for the carrier and this implementation usually takes place at the physical level or "layer" of the network.

wireless network?
Q. I want to use 2 computers in 2 different rooms,I know I need a wireless Router my girlfriend said she had to use a wireless remote along with it. I want to be able to connect the 2 computers to my dsl. what all do I need to do. I dont think I have an internal network card in the tower.

A. if ther is a physical router then just use the same user and pass if you can if not of can not then follow the bellow get a store bought wireless usb stick install it set it up to a-havic mode and make a wireless network then go into network connections and right click on the wireless that is used for internet and select properties in the advanced tab click share this network connection and follow the results to share with the usb wireless now connect your laptop with that and it should work fine

How to set up a wireless network in this case?
Q. I have a laptop(vista) with built in wireless and a desktop (xp, no wireless adapter or built in wireless) attached with cable internet I want to buy a wireless router in order to share the internet for both my laptop and desktop. Which brand and type is best for me? Do I need a wireless adapter for my desktop? How would you set up this network? (it's ok if the desktop maintains wired!) Help me, please!

A. You will need a wireless adapter for the desktop if you want to connect wirelessly. Also, It is ok for one to be wired and the other to be wireless. It's fairly easy. Check out this website.

In the device manager it used to say under . network. adaptors broadcom and atheros wifi. BT helper deleted the atheros wife and another HP WAN was put on instead. Is there anyone out there who can sort this for me as I am having no luck ...
